About BookMark with Mark Crees

Every week every Thursday
19:00 to 20:00
Presented By:

BookMark features an eclectic mix of poetry, literature, music and the spoken word. It is presented by Mark Crees and is on air every Thursday from 7pm until 8pm.

The programme acts as a showcase for all kinds of writing and anything to do with books! So far we have broadcast items on poetry, novels, theatre, travel books, song writing, autobiography, storytelling and even visual art.

BookMark also regularly features young writers from local schools. Reading out a poem or a story on live radio is a great way for students to hone their skills of recitation and build confidence in performance.

If you have any material which you think would be suitable for the programme, be it a story, some poems or songs, then please contact Mark at: mark.crees@chbnradio.org

*Please could all performers bring two copies of their work with them to the studio, with their full name, and the title, clearly printed at the top of each page.

**If you have any music on CD which you associate with your writing or reading, then please bring that in too and we might be able to play it. We are always looking for new ways of combining music with the spoken word.

***As a rule, on the night of the programme Mark likes to meet all guests at 6.30pm in the Tower Block reception.
