CHBN Wins Silver Award

CHBN has won the Silver Award for Best Specialist Music Programme at the 2019 National Hospital Radio Awards.

The entry in this category was for Mike Brown’s Acoustic Hour programme. The citation was as follows “The judges said they enjoyed this entry. It was a pleasantly original show with great use of on location recording and some wonderful local accents. Well worth a listen.”. Zara Shoesmith was a top 5 finalist in the Best Newcomer Category.

Claire Bear (Goldsworthy) was a top 10 finalist in the Best Newcomer Category and Mark Webster was a top 10 finalist in the Best Male Presenter category.

The achievements at this year's awards show that once again CHBN is recognised as one of the top Hospital Radio station's in the UK.

The awards were held in Stoke on Trent as part of the Hospital Broadcasting Association Annual Conference. 13 CHBN members attended the conference and collected the award on the Saturday evening.
