Christmas 2020 will be like no other. No matter our age, none of us can recall a time such as now. But crying “Bah! Humbug” and retreating into a bunker will not help. CHBN, Truro’s Community and Hospital Broadcasting Network, is hoping to bring a different kind of Christmas cheer this December, and we need your help.
A team from CHBN Radio, Truro’s Community Radio and Cornwall’s Hospital Radio will be broadcasting live from their homes continuously for 72 hours between 6pm on Thursday 7th May and 6pm on Sunday 10th May 2020.
Each hour represents one year since the NHS was formed and we are raising money for the Association of NHS Charities and we would be very grateful of your donations to support this fantastic cause.
Volunteers at a hospital radio station are set to undertake a marathon 72-hour broadcast to raise money for NHS charities.
While the volunteer presenters at CHBN cannot currently access their regular studio at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro due to the coronavirus crisis, they have been continuing to broadcast from home.
Saying that “the show must go on” and utilising technology, the station now has 10 home-based studios from which volunteers can broadcast live.
