Jeff Jacobs
Management and Presenter

Jeff joined CHBN in 2017 and presents Sounds of Cornwall. It's full of Cornish content, including the Cornish language, brass bands, male and female choirs, shanty and folk music, together with local interviews. Jeff also presents Jeff's Requests - 2 hours of requests for listeners, including the patient staff & visitors in the hospital, & nursing homes in Truro. Jeff's Requests airs between 2 to 4 pm every Monday, which again allows me to go around the wards in the hospital and get requests, and I also contact the local nursing homes

Jeff says "I volunteered because I enjoy helping people in the community, and radio is a good way to do this. I find it very rewarding, especially when I go around the wards meeting patients and collecting their requests.

"My main hobby is meteorology, which I have had an interest in for the past  60 years and which started after my brother lost hundreds of sheep in the big freeze of 1962/63 I wanted to know why this happened. I have a website called Metjeffuk and a local site on Facebook called Weather Cornwall. I'm also interested in flying my drone, and I have a metal detector - still looking for that treasure!"
